Explore the significance of restoring the Klamath River. Discover the largest river restoration project in the US and why it's vital for nature and people.
The undammed Klamath

In a previous  post on April 15, 2024, I shared a story about removal of four dams on California and Oregon's Kamath River. This is a topic too uplifting and powerful not to revisit now that restoration of the Klamath to a free-flowing river is underway.

This story in The Guardian nicely sums up the significance of this largest river restoration project in the US to date. Even better, and oh so poignantly, be sure to watch this one-minute video to hear the voice of a child who tells us why removal of outdated, unnecessary dams is vital. More wisdom from the mouths of youths.
