If you haven't discovered it already, The Cornell Lab's website offers a wealth of information on birds, including life history descriptions, amazing photographs, and fascinating videos.

Like adults, kids are captivated by owls. Owls are featured in books -- like Wesley the Owl, The Guardians of Ga'Hoole series, and owls of the Harry Potter books -- in documentary TV programs, and classics films such as Winnie the Pooh and Bambi. And of course, Whodare, the cool and courageous northern pygmy owl, is a prominent character in my Legend Keepers children's novels.

Just for fun, check out the Cornell Lab's free preview videos: The Wonderful World of Owls.

Whooo doesn't admire these special birds?
