In the Feathered Quill national book awards competition, the second novel in the Legend Keepers series, The Partnership, won first place in the category "Animal Stories for Children and Young Adults."
In this eco-fiction trilogy, written for middle-grade readers, we see and come to understand through the eyes and lives of both kids and animal characters how glaciers and the alpine environment are changing as the climate warms. It's a story of hope, overcoming loss, the importance of family and friends, and learning that each of us can do something--and more than we realized--to make our world better.
